I've decided to blog during my time aborad this semester. I figure it's an easy way to keep lots of people updated on my adventure, so here goes. Just a forewarning, I've never blog before, so stick with me through these first couple of entries as I try to figure this thing out.
I'm headed off to Rome in a couple of weeks, on the 31st to be exact. I'll be there for around 6 weeks before moving to Athens after a week of independent travel. It looks to be a wonderfrul trip with lots of weekend excursions to other cities in my two host countries, plus time in Rome and Athens.
So, like I said, I'm flying out two weeks from Tuesday, but it doesn't seem quite real yet. I've most everything done as far as prep work goes, but I still think that I'll be moving back to St. Ben's instead and during brief moments of clarity when I realize I'm not, it's aweful sad to think of all the things I'll be missing back on campus. BUT, I've just got to keep focused on all of the wonderful things that I'll be seing, doing, and loving in Europe. I'm sure that I'll be too enthralled with the Colloseum and the Parthenon to get too homesick.
Not much else to say for now, but I'll try to update this thing at least once a week while I'm abroad.
